Immersion( baptism) is a required step is a step YAHWEH’s great master plan of salvation .Upon true repentance a person is to be immersed (baptized) into the saving name of Yahshua the Messiah.

Immersion( baptism) is a required step is a step YAHWEH’s great master plan of salvation .Upon true repentance a person is to be immersed (baptized) into the saving name of Yahshua the Messiah. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness 1 John 3:3-4 Basic prerequisite for immersion given in Elohim’s Word is repentance.
The English term baptism is derived from a Greek word baptizo which means to immerse or submerge in water or any other substance. In the early church of apostle’s day the word used to mean plunge or sink. The definition of the word baptize is immerse. It means plunge into or put into. It does not mean sprinkle. The Greek word sprinkle is rantizo and the word pour means cheo. Therefore sprinkling and pouring are not forms of immersion (baptism). Immersion (baptism) means being placed completely under water. Water immersion (baptism) has great symbolic of one’s death, burial and resurrection from a grave (sin). Just as Yahshua died for our sins and was buried, our immersion (baptism) being immersed in a watery grave pictures the symbolic death and burial of our old sinful life. And as Yahshua was resurrected in newness of life, our coming up out of waters of baptism is symbolic of being brought out of the grave to live a new life of obedience to YAHWEH, free from the guilt of past sins and death penalty and those sins have incurred.
Immersion (baptism) pictures the death, burial and resurrection of Yahshua messiah. It also pictures the death and burial, the sinner and his resurrection to begin living a Believer’s life surrendered to Elohim, to walk henceforth in newness of life. After immersion (baptism) he reckons himself as dead, so far as sin is concerned, but live to YAHWEH Elohim through His Son Yahshua Messiah. Immersion (baptism) is simply as ordinance by which we express our faith in Yahshua Messiah as our personal Savior, our acceptance of His death, burial and resurrection for us. Immersion is also an expression of our repentance from sin and our desire to totally destroy and bury our old sinful life. It symbolize the complete burial of the old sinful self and our beginning of a new life surrendered to the will and authority of YAHWEH.
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the YAHWEH is. Ephesians 5:17. You must repent and be immersed (baptized) or you will never receive of YAHWEH’s Ruach haQodesh set-apart Spirit (Holy Spirit). There is no other way, unless you have fully repented of your sins, come to YAHWEH through Yahshua Messiah as your personal Savior and been immersed (baptized) as He has commanded. You are not Messiah’s, you do not belong to Him. Therefore you are not a Believer in YAHWEH’s eyes.
Every son bears his father’s last name. Abraham for example means father of the nations, Israel means prevailed with Elohim. YHWEH is the family name and Messiah is the name of His Son.
Now if anyone does not have the Ruach (Spirit) of Messiah, he is not His. Romans 8:9 Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized. John 3:23. For this you were called because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example that you should follow His steps. 1 Peter 2:21. Then Yahshua came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying I need to be baptized by you, and are You coming to me? But Yahshua answered and said to him ”Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness “ then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized Yahshua came up immediately from the water and behold, the heavens were opened to Him and He saw Ruach haQodesh set-apart Spirit (Holy Spirit) of YAHWEH descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. Matthew 3:13-16. When Yahshua was baptized He went up out of water, not sprinkled with water. Now after John was put in prison, Yahshua came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of YAHWEH and saying “ The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of YAHWH is at hand .
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as El-Shaddai, but by My name YAHWEH I was not known to them. Exodus6:3
The name itself was not known until the days of Moses. From Abraham to Moses it was thousand years. Thus the name was not known for thousand years.
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, YAHWEH appeared to him and said to him “ I am El-Shaddai (Almighty) walk before Me and be blameless. Genesis 17:1
Repent and believe in the gospel. Mark 1:14-15. Baptism is commanded by Yahshua for salvation. And He said to them ”Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15-16.Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit). Matthew 28:19. Most assuredly, I say to you, who receives whomever I send receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. John 13:20. Now when they heard this, they were stung (cut) to the heart and said to Peter and rest of the apostles (special messengers)”Men and brethren, what shall we do” Then Peter said to them, “ Repent and let every one of you be baptized (immersed) in the name of Yahshua Messiah for the remission of sins, and shall receive the gift of Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) . For the promise is to you and your children and to all who are afar off, as many as YAHWEH our Elohim will call. Then those who gladly received his word were baptized and that day about three thousand souls (people) were added to them. Acts 2:37-39,41. You also promised the gift of Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) on condition that you repent and baptized. There is also an antitype which now saves us- baptism not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward YAHWEH, through the resurrection of Yahshua Messiah. 1 Peter 3:21.
Yahshua answered “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Ruach (Spirit), he cannot enter the kingdom of YAHWEH. That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Ruach (Spirit) is spirit. The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit .John 3:5-6,8. Therefore, when Yahshua knew that the Pharisees had heard that Yahshua made and baptized more disciples than John, though Yahshua Himself did not baptize but His disciples. John 4:1-2. Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginnings at his Scripture, preached Yahshua to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said” See, here is water, what hinders me from being baptized? Then Philip said” If you believe with all your heart, you may” And he answered and said” I believe that Yahshua Messiah is the Son of YAHWEH, so he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Ruach (Spirit) of YAHWEH caught Philip away, so that eunuch saw him no more and he went on his way rejoicing. Acts: 35-39. Philip and Ethiopian eunuch both went down into and came up out of the water in order to properly accomplish the baptism. Paul was also baptized by Ananias in order to receive the Ruach haQodsh set-apart Spirit (Holy Spirit). Yahshua said to me, Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do. Then a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good testimony with all the Jews who dwelt there came to me and stood and said to me brother Paul , receive your sight, and at that same hour I looked up at him. Then he said “The Elohim of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will and see the Just One (Yahshua Messiah), and hear the voice of His mouth. For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of YAHWEH. Acts 22:10,12-16. What are you waiting for? Said Ananias to Paul. Or do you not know that as many of us were baptized into Messiah Yahshua were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Messiah was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this , that our old man was crucified with Him that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Messiah, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. Romans 6:3-9. For as many as are led by the Spirit of YAHWEH, these are sons of YAHWEH, Ruach (Spirit) himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of YAHWEH and if children, then heirs, heirs of YAHWEH and joint heirs with Messiah, if indeed we suffer with Him , that we may also be glorified together. Romans 8:14, 16-17.Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness? But YAHWEH be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. Romans 6:16-18. Buried with Him in baptism in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of YAHWEH who raised Him from the dead. Colossians 2:12. For by one Ruach (Spirit) were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free and have all been made to drink into one Ruach (Spirit). 1 Corinthians 12:13. Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) is given following water baptism picturing one’s repentance from sin. There is one body and one Ruach (Spirit), just as you were called into hope of your calling, one YAHWEH, one faith, one baptism. Ephesians 4:4-5. I have been crucified with Messiah , it is no longer I who live, but Messiah lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of YAHWEH, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20.
Not all who think themselves ready for baptism are. It demands mature profound evaluation. It must not be taken lightly. It is not for children. John the Baptist sent many of the Pharisees of his day a packing when they presented themselves to him. He unashamedly advised them to go do the things which could prove to him they were actually ready. Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance and do not begin to say to yourselves, “we have Abraham as our father ‘ For I say to you that YAHWEH is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Luke 3:7-8. Now the great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, if anyone comes to Me and does not hate (love mother) his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it, lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, “ This man began to build and was not able to finish?
Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or, else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. Luke 14: 25:33.
