 TEN COMMANDMENTS – TORAH 

Ten Commandments are living and active laws, they are in operation, they work automatically just like the law of gravity. Even though it may be broken without the knowledge of any other human being, the penalty for its violation is absolutely certain. As a motion picture, they were acclaimed by the world, as the Law of YAHWEH, they have been loved by some, hated by others but transgressed by all. 

There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and destroy. James 4:12 That Lawgiver is EL SHADDAI (Almighty One). Sin is the transgression of the Law of the Ten Commandments (Spiritual Law). Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness and sin is lawlessness 1 John 3:4. The fear of YAHWEH is the beginning of knowledge .Proverbs 1:17.                                                                                     It is a deep respect and reverence for the great office and authority of YAHWEH. YAHWEH is the creator of heaven and earth. He is the Great Ruler of the earth who had brought about the flood in the days of Noah, the forefather. Elohim of Israel had delivered them from Egypt. Ten Commandments is a Spiritual Law, a living law, like the law of gravity, when you break it, it breaks you! Therefore when a man or nations break the commandments, they bring an inevitable penalty of suffering and miserable upon themselves, whether by the awfulness of war, personal violence, sickness, family problem, financial problems. David said “Oh how I love Your instructions! I think about them all day long. Psalms 119:97. How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalms 119:103 Your word is a lamp of my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 119:105. The law of YAHWEH is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of YAHWEH is sure, making wise the simple, the statutes of YAHWEH are right, rejoicing the heart, the commandment of YAHWEH is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of YAHWEH is clean, enduring forever, the judgments of YAHWEH are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold, Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward Psalms 19:7-11 For this is the love of YAHWEH, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3 YAHWEH basic Spiritual Law, they were made a part of this agreement between YAHWEH and Israel. Since they were His special and spiritual laws, He gave them with great power and unlike the rest of the covenant, He wrote them with His own hand. YAHWEH commanded the people to clean themselves up and be ready against the third day when He would come down to them. And YAHWEH said to Moshe, “ Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever” . Then YAHWEH said to Moshe, “ Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day YAHWH will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in camp trembled. And Moshe brought the people out of the camp to meet with YAHWEH, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because YAHWH descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. Exodus 19:9-10,14,16-18. In this setting of great glory and majesty and power, YAHWEH gave the Ten Commandments to the people who were trembling in awe below the mountain. His voice must be heard, and He gave them all these commandments. 

Many people believe that all the Ten Commandments were done away at the cross. Some say that the commandments were re-instituted later in the New Testament. Others believe that a new commandment has taken the place of the Ten Commandments. Now behold, one came and said to Him,”Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?’ So He said to him,”Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is YAHWEH. But if you want to enter into life, keep commandments” He said to Him, ‘Which ones? Yahshua said,” You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor you father and your mother and You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 19:16-19.    

The Five commandments Yahshua mentioned concern our relationship with our neighbors. They cover murder, adultery, stealing, lying, and honor to parents. YAHWEH is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake, He will exalt the law and make it honorable. Isaiah 42:21. Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-19. Paul repeated this command in Romans,” For commandments, You shall not commit adultery , You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet, and if there is any other commandment are all summed up in this saying, namely You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Romans 13:8-9. Yahshua showed that this commandment and several of the others are still in force today by the following teaching.”For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies. Matthew 15:19. David said these commands stand fast forever and ever,” The works of His hands are verity and justice, all His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He has sent redemption to His people, He has commanded His covenant forever. Holy and awesome is His name. The fear of YAHWEH is the beginning of wisdom, a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalms 111:7-9, 10.                                                                                                        

The Old Testament Church of YAHWEH, the nation of Israel was not given opportunity to receive Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) to help them obey the spiritual intent of the Ten Commandments, as well as the letter of the law. But in New Testament Church times YAHWEH has made His Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) available to those whom He calls. And He desires that His Ruach (Spirit) begotten children follow Him in spirit and the fullness of His law.                                                                                                                                                       

Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as YAHWEH my Elohim commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess. Therefore be careful to observe them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what great nation is there that has YAHWEH so near to it, as YAHWEH our Elohim is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him? And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day? Deuteronomy 4:5-8.                                                                                     

When you come into the land which YAHWEH your Elohim is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to YAHWEH, and because of these abominations YAHWEH your Elohim drives them out from before you. Deuteronomy 18:9-12.                                                                                

If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you , saying, “ Let us go after other elohim (gods) which you have not known and let us serve them, you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for YAHWEH your Elohim is testing you to know whether you love YAHWEH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after YAHWH your Elohim and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice, you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. If your brother, the son of your mother, your son or your daughter, the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your soul, secretly entices you, saying, Let us go and serve other elohim (gods), which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, of the elohim (gods) of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, Corrupt men have gone out from among you and enticed the inhabitants of their city, saying “Let us go and serve other elohim (gods) which you have not known, then you shall inquire, search out, and ask diligently. And if it is indeed true and certain that such an abomination was committed among you.                               Deuteronomy 13:1-4,6-7,13-14. Observe and obey all these words which I command you that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of YAHWEH your Elohim. Beware of false elohim (gods). Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it, you shall not add to it nor take away from it. Deuteronomy 12: 28, 32. Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! Deuteronomy 5:29. And YAHWEH will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you. Deuteronomy 7:15. Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul and bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes (conscience). You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which YAHWEH swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth. For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do , to love YAHWEH your Elohim, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him, then YAHWEH will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours, No man shall be able to stand against you, YAHWEh your Elohim will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, just as He has said to you. Behold, I set before you today a blessing and curse, the blessing, if you obey the commandments of YAHWEH your Elohim which I command you today, and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of YAHWEH your Elohim, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after elohim (gods) which you have not known. Deuteronomy 11: 18-28. Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! Deuteronomy 5:29.    

For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it? Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it? But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love YAHWEH your Elohim, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply and YAHWEH your Elohim will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do nor hear, and are drawn away, and worship other elohim (gods) and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish, you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. Deuteronomy 30:11-19                                         

He who says, “ I Know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4. Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it, you shall not add to it nor take away from it. Deuteronomy 12:32. Blessed are those who do His commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:12

The first four commandments show us how to love YAHWEH, while the last six of the Ten Commandments show us how to love our neighbor and all fellow human beings.

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, Do not commit adultery, also said, Do not murder. Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. James 2:10-11

THE FIRST COMMANDMENT

I am YAHWEH Elohim, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. You shall have no other elohim (gods) before Me. Exodus 20:2-3

YAHWEH says that He is the one who has brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Egypt is use as a type of sin. YAHWEH commands “ You shall have no other elohim (gods) before me. Have you put something else in place of YAHWEH? What idol have you placed between yourself and true Elohim? Do you honestly think of and worship YAHWEH your Creator and the one who gives you every breath of air you breathe? David said”YAHWEH is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer , my Elohim, my strength, in whom I will trust, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  Psalms 18:2 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin (Satan) leading to death, or of obedience (Yahshua) leading to righteousness? Romans 6:16 Yahshua said” The great commandment is “You shall love YAHWEH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your body and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39                                                                                                                                                                                   You shall walk after YAHWEH your Elohim and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice, you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. Deuteronomy 13:4 

THE SECOND COMMANDMENT.

You shall not make for yourself a carved image and likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth, you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, YAHWEH your Elohim, am a jealous Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20: 4-6 You shall not make idols for yourselves, neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves, nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it, for I am YAHWEH your Elohim. Leviticus 26:1

Idolatry meaning the worship of idols, extreme admiration, love, or reverence for something or someone and or worship of someone or something other than YAHWEH as though it were YAHWEH. Idolatry is of two kinds, the worship of images, statues, pictures made by hands, and the worship of the heavenly bodies, the sun, moon, and stars, or of demons, angels, deceased ancestors, heroes (men) and animals. No man who really knows YAHWEH as his Father, no man who is living in daily communion with Him needs a picture or image or crucifix to help him to pray. If a man thinks he needs this kind of help, it is simply because he has not come to know YAHWEH and is not filled with and led by Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) of YAHWEH. In order to worship YAHWEH in Spirit you must have Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit). Now if any man have not the Ruach (Spirit) of Yahshua, he is none of His. Romans 8:9. If you blindly obey the dictates of your family, your church or society instead of direct commands of YAHWEH, you are guilty of idolatry. You must worship YAHWEH Elohim directly and with a humble and willing heart, with a heart proven to be submissive through repentance and obedience, you must pray to YAHWEH in heaven on your knees and in silent place, As Enoch and Noah and Abraham did, you must learn to walk with YAHWEH and be in constant and increasing communion and yielded to Him throughout every day of your life. Then guided by His Ruach (Spirit) you will never even begin to consider using an image or idol or picture or crucifix as an aid to prayer and worship of the great Sovereign Ruler of this universe and your personal Father in heaven.

If we persist in an idolatrous and vain form of worship, YAHWEH say He will visit our iniquity upon our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. False idea of worship will transmitted to their children, damaging and wrecking their lives and happiness! It is a terrible thing thus to pass on to your children a false concept of YAHWEH. YAHWEH gives a merciful promises to those who are willing to worship YAHWEH as He commands, in their case, He is a loving and merciful YAHWEH, showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Him and keep His commandments. 

The Satan the devil try to tempt Yahshua to worship him and Yahshua said to him, “Get behind Me, Statan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship YAHWEH your Elohim, and Him only you shall serve. Luke 4:8 This commandment, which prohibits the worship of or bowing down before images, is given in detail by Paul “ Do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play’. 1 Corinthians 10:7 Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible YAHWEH into an image made like corruptible man and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things, who exchanged the truth of YAHWEH for lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever . Romans 1:22-23,25

THE THIRD COMMANDMENTS 

You shall not take the name of YAHWEH your Elohim in vain, for YAHWEH will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Exodus 20: 7.

O YAHWEH, our Elohim, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens. Psalms 8:1

The third commandments prohibits the use of YAHWEH in vain. It is often referred to as a sin of blasphemy. Do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming, because I said, I am the Son of YAHWEH? John 10:36. If men use the name of YAHWEH in a way which denies the true meaning and character of YAHWEH, they are breaking the third commandment. The Hebrew name of YAHWEH has been mistranslated in LORD. YAHWEH is the Ruler, the EL SHADDAI (Almighty) Yahshua said ”Do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, and whoever exalts himself will be humbled and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:9, 12.

 Our Spiritual Father is YAHWEH, any application of this word as a religious title to a man is simply direct blasphemy against the Creator who has made all men. Another common misuse of the divine name is the application of the term Reverend to any human being, be he a minister or otherwise. For YAHWEH applies this title to Himself alone. He provided redemption for his people, he ordained his covenant forever. Holy and Reverend is his name. Psalms 111:9 Reverend applies to someone worthy to be worship. Any mortal man who thinks he is worthy of worship or deserve the title “Reverend’ is breaking the third commandment, Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Once a religious leader asked Yahshua this question”Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? So Yahshua said to him, “why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is YAHWEH.     Luke 18:18-18. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandment and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19 This people honor Me with their lips but their hearts are far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandments of YAHWEH, you hold the tradition of men. All too well you reject the commandment of YAHWEH, that you may keep your tradition. Mark7:6-9.

THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT

Remember the Shabbat day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Shabbat of the YAHWEH your Elohim. In it you shall do no work, you nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days YAHWEH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore YAHWEH blessed the Shabbat day and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8-11 

This day pictures the rest that YAHWEH had on creation week and therefore honors the fact that He is Creator.The Shabbat rest each week is a memorial of creation and it also foreshadows that He is soon going to bring a millennium of peace and rest, the seventh thousand-year period, to this world. This commandment is one most people have forgotten! This is the command that many people falsely claim was forgotten and left out of the New Testament. This commandment is a reminder, YAHWEH is reminding His chosen people to remember the day they already know and incorporating it as part of His covenant. It is not forgotten or done away or nailed to the cross. And it remains for the people of YAHWEH, the rest of the world has forgotten that it still remains.

The Shabbat was made by the Maker of man, either Jewish or Gentiles for all mankind. Yahshua also kept the Shabbat in his human life and He is the Master of the Shabbat and all things were made by Him. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogues on the Shabbat day, and stood up to read. Luke 4:16.  Yahshua said to them, The Son of Man is also Master of the Shabbat .Now it happened on another Shabbat, also that He entered the synagogue and taught.  Luke 6:5-6                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Yahshua Messiah , the inspired example of how every true believer ought to live , taught by His own life and actions that the Shabbat is a holy convocation(gathering) commanded assembly for YAHWEH’s people. Paul instructed us to follow him as he followed Messiah. Imitate me, just as I also imitate Messiah. 1 Corinthians 11:1. Peter also told us that we ought to walk as Messiah walked” For to this were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps. 1 Peter 2:21. Apostle John said the same thing,”He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk as He walked. 1 John 2:6. The disciples were to follow His example and teach others the same things. His parting instruction was, “Go you there and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit), teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you, and know, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:19-20.                                                                                   

Paul followed Yahshua in always keeping the Shabbat,”Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three shabbats reasoned (preached) with them from the Scriptures. Acts 17:2 So when the Jews went out of the synagogues, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Shabbat. Acts 13:42 On the next Shabbat almost the whole city came together to hear the word of YAHWEH. Acts 18:44. And he reasoned (preached) in the synagogue every Shabbat, and persuaded both Jews and Greek. Acts 18:4. 

The fourth commandment is shown plainly to be in the New Testament.” Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest (Shabbat), let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it .For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them, but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. There remains therefore a rest for the people of YAHWEH. For he who has entered His rest (Shabbat) has himself also ceased from his works as YAHWEH did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest (Shabbat) lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. Hebrew 4:2,9-11.

The seventh day Shabbat is thus mandatory to the faith. No Believer can serve YAHWEH and fail to honor the Shabbat, known as Saturday. The establishment of other day of worship other than seventh day not only breaches this commandment, it becomes itself an act of rebellion. 

THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which YAHWEH your Elohim is giving you. Exodus 20:12

Paul reiterated this commandment.  ” Children, obey your parents in YAHWEH, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3 A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but scoffer does not listen to rebuke. Proverbs 13:1 This command to honor father and mother applies to all of us throughout our lives. It is one of ten great points of YAHWEH EL-OLAM spiritual law and the penalty for directly and indirectly violating this law was death. And he who strikes his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. Exodus 21:15. He who is often rebuked and hardens his neck, will suddenly de destroyed and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1. A young person so trained will avoid the reckless, the violence, the wrong companionships and the rebellion against authority which often result in untimely death.                             Blessed are the humble, for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5. The are also many everyday blessings to the obedient child. The disobedient child is a frustrated child, for his mind is constantly plagued with feelings of guilt and rebellion, a child who loves, honors and obeys his parents is a blessed child indeed. He will tend to live a more truly happy, carefree and purposeful life and in his spiritual life he will pass through the natural and beautiful sequence from the honoring of his parents to the joyful worshipping of YAHWEH.A person who has properly obeyed his parents in childhood later expresses his honor for them in a deeper appreciation of the comforts and training they provided him as a child. This honor expresses itself in courtesy, thoughtfulness and kind deeds. It should become delight of every decent man and woman to return this love which our parents showered on us. In the latter of live, many parents long for this affection and fellowship with their children more. Let us think and act on this opportunity to return the love our parents so freely gave.

Yahshua Messiah gave one of the most forceful interpretations of the fifth commandment in its application. In His days men were excusing themselves from providing for the necessities of their parents, they were saying that funds which might have been used in this way were Carbon (sacrifice) and offerings that is dedicated to the service of the altar. These funds were not part YAHWEH’s tithe, but rather an additional offering which was used to gain favor in approaching YAHWEH. Reproaching these hypocritical Believers, Yahshua said to them.” All too well you reject the commandment of YAHWEH, that you may keep your tradition (human regulations). For Moshe said, “Honor your father and your mother, and He who curses (disrespect, abuses or treats improperly) his father or mother, let him put to death. But you say, “If a man says to his father or mother, whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban, that is, a gift to YAHWEH, then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, making the word of YAHWEH of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down . And many such things you do. Mark 7: 9-13.                                                                                    

His words plainly teach that a true Believer must give material and financial assistance to his aged parents if it possible and their needs so require. He must not excuse himself by saying that all his extra funds are dedicated to YAHWEH.

Even Yahshua keep the fifth commandment “ If you keep my commandments you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. John 15:10. He was obedience to His heavenly Father and to his human parents as well.                                                        

When Yahshua therefore saw His mother (Mariam) and the disciple whom He loved standing by, he said to His mother, ‘Woman, behold your son” Then He said to the disciple, “ Behold your mother” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. John 19:26-17.                                                           

Here Yahshua made final provision for His mother to be taken care of by John after His death.

THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT

You shall not murder. Exodus 20:13

And Elohim said,” Let us make man in Our image after Our likeness and let them have dominion. Genesis 1:26. Behold all souls are Mine, the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. Ezekiel 18:4                                                                                                                                                                           

Man is given life by his Creator. He did not give it to himself, neither may he take it from himself or from others. Life is sacred because it is YAHWEH given. YAHWEH gave that life for the Supreme purpose. The giving of life and breath it is the most wonderful gift. The taking of life ends all, it crushes all the hopes and dreams and plans of a man made in the very image of the Creator Himself. YAHWEH alone who gives life and who alone it away, has authority to take it away. And he said naked I came from my mother’s womb and naked shall I return there, the YAHWEH gave and YAHWEH has taken away. Blessed be the name of YAHWEH. Job 1:21. Any form of murder is one of the ten great sins. You have heard that it was said to those of old,”You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment. But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca! Shall be in danger of the council of Sanhedrin. But whoever says,”You fool! Shall be in danger of hell fire (Gehenna). Matthew 5:21-22. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says YAHWEH. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty, give him a drink, For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:19-21 But Yahshua said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Matthew 26:52.

THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT

You shall not commit adultery. Exodus 20:14.

This commandment is directly governing the home and the family. YAHWEH EL SHADDAI gave this law to protect the honor and sanctify of marriage. Unfaithfulness before marriage is violating the command as much as adultery committed after marriage. The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and adulteress, shall surely be put to death. Leviticus 20: 10. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Yahshua? Shall I then take the members of Yahshua and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For the two, He says, “shall become one flesh’ But he who is joined to YAHWEH is one spirit with Him. Flee from sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of Ruach haQODESH (Holy Spirit) who is in you, whom you have from YAHWEH, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price, therefore glorify YAHWEH in your body and in your spirit, which are YAHWEH’s. 1 Corinthians 6: 15-20.

THE EIGTH COMMANDMENT

You shall not steal. Exodus 20:15

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Ephesians 4:28

This is YAHWEH’s law protecting all private property and possessions. According to YAHWEH’s word and His law, there are only two right ways by which you can come into possession of anything. The first is by a free gift or an inheritance from another person or from YAHWEH Himself. The second is by honest labor, which earns something as a legitimate return. Any other way is theft, the taking from another that which belongs to him. The eight commandment recognizes the legitimate acquisition of property and forbids theft. Property and possessions are to be gained by honest work, not merely to satisfy personal desires and needs. And you shall take no bribes, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous. Exodus 23:8. He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live. Proverbs 15:27.  A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back to pervert the ways of justice. Proverbs 17:23. Dishonest scales are an abomination to YAHWEH, but a just weight is His delight. Proverbs 11:1

Use of false weights and measures or poor quality of material or workmanship to deceive the public is just as guilty of breaking the eight commandment.

THE NINTH COMMANDMENT

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Exodus 20:16.

Therefore, putting away lying, ”Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor”, for we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25.It was through the sin of false and lying that Yahshua Messiah was murdered,” For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. Mark 14: 56.                                            Therefore a man who is honest, who is willing to speak the truth and acknowledge the truth when it is revealed, must eventually be converted to the true YAHWEH and His ways! But a man whose word is no good, who is in the habit of lying to others and to himself, that man’s very character and mental processes are so twisted and perverted that he can never come to understand even the truth of YAHWEH until his mind is literally cleaned up. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17. Yahshua said, “I am the way, the truth and life. John 14:6. It is the real truth which will make you free.”And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32.

Remember, there are no white lies YAHWEH’s sight. Half-truths, distortions and deceptions are condemned throughout YAHWEH’s word. One of basic character of YAHWEH is the truth, the opposite of YAHWEH’s character is that of Satan the devil, lies and deceptions. ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate. Genesis 3:13.

As Yahshua Messiah said,” You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murder from the beginning, and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44. For the wrath of YAHWEH is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:18. 

THE TENTH COMMANDMENT

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.                      Exodus 20:17.

Yahshua said to them, “ Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses” Luke 12:15. For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 2 Corinthians 10:12. Your real  success and happiness in life is not truly measured by how new or powerful a car you drive, the clothes you wear, or even the food you eat, happiness is a state of mind , it comes from having the very Spirit and mind of Messiah inside your own mind. The material things you lust for and covet literally become your elohim (gods) for you truly serve and worship them and find in your life little time and strength to serve the true YAHWEH with all of your heart, strength and mind. So he answered and said, ‘You shall love YAHWEH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27. Through  YAHWEH’s Ruach (Spirit) in us, we must fight the fight of the faith, put down the lustful human nature within us and ultimately succeed in bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Messiah.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Paul said,” I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. Philippians 4: 11. Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat? Or What shall we drink? Or What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of YAHWH and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Matthew 6:31-34 

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication (sexual immorality) uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of YAHWEH is coming upon the sons of disobedience. Colossians 3:5-6. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Revelation 21: 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see YAHWEH. Matthew 5:8
